Richard Little, CTO and Founder
Richard formed Rex Bionics Ltd in 2007 with fellow engineer Robert Irving to develop innovative medical robotic technology that could bring new-found mobility to many thousands of users world-wide.
With an expansive career including marine engineering, research and development, contract programme management and information technology Richard has held senior leadership roles in medical technologies, automotive and military industries. These include a progamme management role for Navman, senior leadership finance and programme positions for BAE Systems and Group Technical Director for Taisun, based in Singapore, responsible for transitioning four manufacturing companies to Asia and technical leadership for the group.
Duncan Clement, Regulatory & Operations Manager
Duncan has a vast array of experience in complex technology project delivery. Prior to immigrating to New Zealand in 2004, Duncan spent 8 Years with Quantel, a UK based world-class manufacturer of high-end visual effects and editing systems for film and television. Since arriving in New Zealand, Duncan has worked with key corporates in the IT/Telecommunications, Health, Insurance and Manufacturing sectors. He Joined Rex Bionics in September 2008 to provide oversight on the regulatory process for Rex and guidance on the overall project delivery.
Patrick Baker, Head of Finance
Patrick joined Rex Bionics as Head of Finance in April 2012 after a 20 year global career with Ford Motor Company. After starting out as an engineer Patrick switched to Finance early in his career, leading Finance functions in Portugal, Central Europe and the Middle East & North Africa. Before joining Rex he was Chief Financial Officer of Ford New Zealand for seven years. Patrick also serves as a director of the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation and of the New Zealand organisation of Variety - the Children's Charity.
